my 93 9k turbo cde was running beatifully ...... today I started the car and it was shaking like hell, the engine check light came on and so did the TCU light ..... after fiddling around with the fuses I tried it again and it started with no problem but the chekc engine light never went out ......... drove it for about 15 minutes on the highway and heard a faint rumbling sound as if a truck with a modified muffler was near me ..... pulled over and turned it off, started great .... now its shaking again and if I don't gas it, the engine seems like its choking and will eventually die out .......
I live in Phoenix where its a 100 degrees everyday ..... moved here from New England and just don't know the effect of this hot weather on my baby ..... I had 1/4 tank of gas ...... I filled it up and the car seems fine again. It seems like if I let it sit for a few minutes with the hood open and get it to cool down a few degrees, it starts fine again.
could this be a case of overboosting on the Turbo, and when it gets really hot, the engine acts up or does it sound like fuel pressure problems? any ideas will help.
