Hi,
My newly acquired 93 9000CS (NA, 2.3L) has over 200,000 miles on it, but still runs perfect (aside from worn motor mounts). Within the last 5000 miles, the headgasket has been replaced along with new timing chain, sprockets, etc. My mechanic says the engine tests within factory parameters as far as compression goes. Currently, no oil is leaking or being burned.
I'd like to switch to synthetic (I'm assuming Mobil 1 10W30 would be ok). Apart from possible leaks that may develop, what else should I consider in deciding whether to switch?
Thanks.
