Hi Anders,
I also got the TSB release from Saab on how to correct the incorrect positioned drain. This is done from the underside of the car.
I did take off the top of the box. There is plenty of room to the side of the evaporator to look and to feel at least the hole in the box where that 90 degree sprout is attached. But there is no hole or whatever. there is just no point where the water can escape.
I did not see the sprout, because I know you only can when you take the blower out. But I should be able to find the hole from the inside where it is attached, am I not?
Which brings me to the question of Peter: if there is no way i can find a place where the box can drain the water running of the evaporator, I will somehow drill a hole where it ought to be. Yes, the water will spill into the aquarium, but this has its own drain because it gets plenty of rainwater. Anything critical just under the box that I surely must not hit if I break through the box at the underside.
It is just NOT a good idea to get all that water into the fan at right hand turns, because of the risk the fan will burn (not to mention all that water that gets blown into your face through the center vents).
Thank you,
Jan Geert van Hall
