My 1992 9000S does the same thing. It's like a stutter in the beginning that goes away after momentum. At first I thought maybe I wasn't giving it enough gas b/c that's what it sort of feels like. Then I thought maybe it was my plugs or gapping. Still can't figure it out...
However, I was told that my passenger side front wheel bearing needs to be replaced {since it can't be repacked?} Could that be a source or part of it?
