Speedometer dead

'94 CSE, AUTO, 180K. I just replaced the starter, and now the speedometer, odometer and shift indicator on the EDU are dead. I see a 2 wire (black & white) plug hanging just below the throttle body and no free place to plug it in. All other plugs seem to be in place. Obviously no speed signal is reaching the ECU. Where is the speed sensor located on an automatic? Is there a disconnect at the false bulkhead or behind it? Other than the dead Speedo, the car drives fine. Any suggestions?
