from SAAB. The 9000 could be fitted with a Class 2 hitch available from the dealer. It is not strong enough to haul a small horse trailer, roughly 1500-2000 lbs and one or two horses at 900-1200 lbs each. Unfortunately, the 9000 can't handle it.
My Italian co-worker says the Europeans haul mostly with sedans, but on US roads, I wouldn't advise it.
If you need to pursue it further, I can check the Saab kit I have for its load limit. You will be concerned with tongue weight and overall weight, and definitely trailer brakes. Or consult your local U-Haul for hitch installation.
