There are a few areas to check...from the turbo to the intercooler pipe. From that pipe to the intercooler. Then from the intercooler out to the intake pipe and then the intake pipe to the throttle body. I have also blow bypass valve loose from it pipes...your bypass valve connects from the middle of the intake pipe to the middle of the pipe behind the air cleaner. Any disconnection will be very obvious as the engine is now drawing air in from a place it did not before.
Based on your description it sounds more like a cracked pipe, than a full blow off. You can wet your hand and feel around the area I mentioned checking for air getting pulled in.
