I remember quite some time ago (like 15 years) my father buying bulk paper gasket material to so several seals on his old Alpha.

Does this stuff still exist? the doughnut at the parts store I stopped at after work didn't seem to know! I'm talking about similar material used for oil inlet/outlet pipes for the turbo, and the gasket for the oil filtre housing on my '88.

It would be a shame to mail order a $2 gasket from Eeuro or similar, where I can use the old gasket as a stencil.

Anders, maybe this is a good location for anaerobic sealant....similar to timing cover, machined aluminum surface---to steel.

My latest project: oil filtre housing leak....
