I had the same problem with my 1995 9000. I tried everything, and even took it to multiple mechenics(4 out of 5 couldn't tell me anything). I replaced my MAP sensor and overrun cutoff valve, niether fixed the problem. Eventually I checked my spark plugs and found that, first of all they weren't NGK(bad idea), second they had much to large a gap. I replaced them and the problem went away for the first time in nearly a year. It was only temporary though, I ended up replacing my DI casette which has since proven to be the culprit(the problem is gone now). I think that the large gap was stressing it and confusing it. the casette is more than just a housing for your plugs, it is a computer and can keep track of things like when your engine is top dead center and such. Part is $430 new, so I got a used on. DO NOT buy one if you don't know if it works. I got a warranty plus I know the car it came out of, mechanic owned.
