i know everyone says that saab ATF are easy to wreck, you obviously have a new one. but my two 9000 have had good luck but let me tell you what just happened.
i lost all ATF fluid on my 230K 889KT because the cooler developed a leak. since my car is high miles i insisted on driving it about two miles once the gears started to slip to get it back to my garge. died just 100 yards short. figured i finally toast a saab tranny...nope.
fixed the leak and filed her up...runs fine!! a new transmission by errikson? you have no worries.
if you think you may have anti/water in the ATF drain it at one of the banjo fittings at the bottom of the ATF. this will get almost 90% o the fluid out. drive it for 10-15 minutes and do it again to be safe. the banjos come off easily.
