97 lpt : Exhaust manifold leak? Posted by Dana [Email] (#2822) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Dana) on Tue, 18 Jan 2005 08:52:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The car is a 97cs LPT converted to FPT.
After starting the car on a recent morning the engine seemed slightly loud, so I opened hood and after a close look I noticed a dime sized area of wetness and a smaller area of foam/bubbles. This apparent exhaust leak looks to be from the farthest driver's side bolt area...the bubbling I figure is the water from the cold start burning off.
Is this just a bad manifold gasket? Will I need a new exhaust manifold? Is this a DIY project by a good DIY'er?
Thanks for any info on this.
