I pulled of my valve head cover and the timing chain had about 1/2 an inch of play between the two cames. i have a 9000 cd turbo from 1989 with 174000 miles on it at the moment and their are no straches on the cover and the cams, cam gears all look to be fine. They have no major signs of wear. could this be a bad valve and if so how to i figure out which one or if this is a problem with my timing chain tensoner how can i make sure that this is the problem. to be more straight forward how do i pinpoint the actual problem here. help is needed and will be throughly thanked
