similar to Metal Matrix Composites (Al + Al2O3 powder). And since JBW is a steel based composite I thought it may hold because of the cracks! Low Chemical affinity ? You maybe right.
Boot always fail with craks at the valleys. The inner one seem more robust however they do not take the same abuse from the water/salt/gravel. I got an extra inner one.. wonder if it fits the outter CV ...maybe some cutting required.
After all inserting a CV booting by taking out the tripod is my fav.
