remember, this shimmy only occurs during acceleration i.e. when power is applied. Not during braking..not during cruise even at 65-70mph. It's therefore likely to be something that "moves" due to engine torque or internal within the drive train. The auto trans shifts smoothly up and down and at appropriate speeds. It's crisp and quick at the start with no lag what-so-ever. So I think could be related to whatever splits or "differentiates" the power to the drive axles. In the end, that may be spelled "rebuild transmission". Of course, I'm counting on you guys for a not-so-obvious but totally inexpensive fix. I would think that rear control arm bushings will be my first stop. I believe bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends would have shown up during alignment. (I know, a hopeful presumption) But as I said , steering/handling is crisp and tight.
