I'm not a pictogram guru, but what you are describing indicates a bad ground, usually at the tail lights. You might try a separate ground wire, perhaps on both sides. My 87, when it was wet out, would show the pictogram when I put the brakes on. That was solved by a ground wire. However, having written that, I can't tell you how to ground out the bulb assembly. Everything is encased in plastic and the bulbs don't ground directly to metal, like in the good old days. You need to consult the ground guru next. Do a search for Grounds and Bulbs.
