As a current owner of a 9k and a former owner of the 924/944 series, it come down to this -
1) If it is one of the late 70s/early 80s 924s, they are dogs, you should have no problem. Volkswagen designs, Audi engines, Porsche emblems, not just dogs, but mutts!
2) If it is one of the later 80s 924S models you have about the same power outputs, all he has in his favor is better wight balance and aerodynamics. They were also handicapped with a lousy final drive ratio so they wouldn't be faster than their big brother 944s.
He's a lawyer with a 924? Must not be a good one or he would at least have a 951!
