I have just started getting interested in Saabs and first purchased a 1993 9000 CDE and it ran great for awhile then the air stopped blowing cold and the radiator hose blew off and the piece that the hose attaches to was broken. I then saw what I thought was a good deal a 1993 9000 CSE Turbo so I purchased it and driving home the air started to not blow cold and then the radiator overheated and this time there was like a plastic ring about 1" long cracked inside the hose. Do I have the worst luck?
I did stop at a garage on the way home. They said that if I got a new radiator it would solve the overheating and would also make the air conditioning blow cold again.
Is this really possible? Both cars having the same problem bought within 1 week of each other? What are the odds?
Bodys and Interior are very nice on both. Engine seems to run fine and I really liked how the turbo felt. I paid 2000 for the CDE and 1700 for the CSE. Are these worth fixing and what could be the possible problem beyond the radiators? I dont know a lot about these and dont want to be taken for a ride at the garage.
Any advice and or comments will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance for anything that you can help me with. My e-mail is jopgh at yahoo.com if anyone would like to respond that way.
