I replaced the header pipe on my non-turbo car this evening. In the process, I snipped the O2 wires and unscrewed the O2 sensor with the old header pipe out of the car. I then install the new pipe w/ the old O2 sensor, and re-wired the three wires (one black, two white).
The text "check engine" appears on the gauge cluster, and the car is idling around 1300rpm. Usually the idle would settle 30 seconds after starting the car, but its not doing that.
If I mismatched the two white wires, could it cause this?
