as previous post mentioned, power seats will bolt right in. if i recall correctly, 88 or 89 was first year power seats were offered as an option (on the driver's side only). so there should be a factory connector on the driver's side. easiest way to determine whether connector is there is to remove manual seat and see if there is an unconnected three prong female black connector near the connector where your current seat harness plugs in. your owner's manual would also indicate a fuse position for a power seat in the main fuse box. assuming there is no passenger seat connector, you will need to either wire directly from the battery power or create a jumper from the driver's side connector. normally, power seats are fused at 30 amps, however, since both sides are rarely operated simultaneously, i see no reason why both couldn't be protected by a single 30 amp fuse.
any electronics associated with power seats are attached to the power seats. all you need to do is get power to them.
