Well I have thought happy thoughts and used wishfull thinking about all I can, I think I'm going to have to pull the damn turbo on the Saab and rebuild it. Jury is still out but it's looking that way.
If I'm not mistaken it's that little air reasearch t3 that everybody and there brother in europe used in the 80's.
It's my understanding it's pretty easy, no balancing necessary since the turbine cartridge is balanced itself and does not need to come apart. My only problem is some random idle smoke.
These guys have a kit, and a nifty looking upgraded oil seal, check it out.
Not to mention I owe them for the advice I get here.. :)

Those two things, a couple gaskets, lot's of cursing when I break rusted bolts and studs, and it should be simple, yes? Which gaskets do I need in addition to what's in the kit?
Thoughts or cheap upgrades while I'm there?
