I have several small problems with my car. It's possible they are related.
- A few weeks ago, my automatic lock and trunk remote system ceased to function. The green LED on the keychain does not even illuminate.
- The button for the power lock system button inside the car no longer works.
- The internal global light no longer turns on. The reading light still does.
- When I open the door, the lights located on the door panel are very, very dim.
- My right headlight no longer turns on. Everything else- the left headlight, my parking lights, my rear lights and my high beams still work fine.
This list above is also the chronological order for when I noticed the problems, perhaps it is the same order that these features failed to work.
As for some history of the car, in December my 9000 stumped a Saab mechanic for three days with another weird electrical problem- which ended up being a loose cable connecting the solenoid to the starter. This caused my car to take several tries to turn on. At the time, the mechanic checked all of the relays and fuses, some of which he had to replace.
Mechanically, the car runs fine. It starts up with no problem. My other internal electronics (stereo, internal lights, etc.) all work fine.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Mike
