Turbo manual, turbo automatic and non turbo are all different and then it split a little bit hap hazard at around 87-88 and then at 89 for some models and then in 90 and then the B234 engine came along.
The difference on these early ones are mainly square or round air filter and where the turbo bypass valve and PCV hose is attached to the air intake hose.
So when looking at a junk yard even if you see something similar, it probably won't bolt right in if you don't manage to find the exact one.
