I asked myself this very question once I began shopping for a 9000. I searched here and came up with a few ways. First off, if it's a '94 or '95, it will have a switch in the dashboard that says TCS. It will be in one of the switch blanks, though I can't remember if it was one by the seat heaters, or by the fog lights. I think the former. If it's a '93, you won't have that switch, unless it was added later. For all of them, TCS equipped cars will have a different throttle body. From what I have read, a TCS throttle body does not have an external throttle spring. You can clearly see if this is the case if you have a decent size picture of the engine compartment. Finally, I have read that TCS cars will have some sort of module on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It has an electrical connection and three vacuum hoses. I suspect you might also be able to give the VIN number to a Saab dealer and they could tell if it has TCS.
