I've had nothing but good experience with Bars Leaks. But the caveat is that I've used it in cars with good cooling systems, and only as a way to extend the life of the heater core. The failure mode of the heater core is that it develops lots of little micro-cracks that weep coolant. Bars Leaks works well on that. I've used it in cars for years with no trouble with the cooling system.
That said, I wouldn't use Bars Leaks, or any other stop leak system to address any visible radiator leak. If a seam is weeping coolant under pressure, the stuff should work. If there is fluid coming out faster than that, the solution is to replace the leaking component. Leak stop products have their place, and that place is limited. Additionally, if a cooling system is compromised, I wouldn't use the stuff. I change the coolant every 2-3 years in my cars, and the radiators and other plumbing are in good shape. I suspect that a lot of horror stories for Bars Leaks come from cars that had neglected cooling systems, with old, crudded up radiators and shot coolant. Yeah, adding a leak stop to that is asking for trouble.
With a cooling system in good shape, leak stops to address a specific problem is reasonable. I don't know about Wynns, but BL works fine for me, as long as I'm careful about what I ask it to do.
