I'm not too new with the 9000 I've memorized the engine tech manual and I've pulled an engine out of a 9000 and put it back in about 6 or 7 times. thats out of the three 9000 turbos Ive owned. two had automatic trannys the '87 and the '92 and my recent one the '88 has a manual. It ran fine before I pulled the engine. but the last owner forgot to bolt the rear engine mount bracket to the engine block causing the engine to lift up and eventually causing the CV axle to pull out from the cup on the left side of the tranny and eat up all of the bearings on the axle. I did replace the sparkplugs but I used crappy autolite ones because they were the only ones I could get ahold of at the time (walmart) I will get NGK one at NAPA soon. I had to replace the ECU because I fried the last one from constant jump starting. I also accidentally pulled the three wires out comming out of the side of the distributor and had to replace the internals of the distributor. I fixed an airleak between the connector boot on cylinder 1 and the intake manifold I also forgot to plug in the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line but I took care of that. I don't really know the sparkplug gap. Ive heard of it being 1.5mm and it being .65mm. It could be the O2 sensor because I did take it out of a salvage yard.
