This is not an easy roadside repair Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Sun, 21 Jan 2007 08:40:13 In Reply to: You have Trionic (T5), not LH-Jetronic >, Bill Davies, Sun, 21 Jan 2007 07:34:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Richard,
Fuel pump replacement on 9000s can be a real pain, primarily because the 90-degree connectors for the fuel lines are very, very brittle on a 12 year old car, and getting the big retaining ring off can also be problematic. Some have had temporary success resurecting the pump by banging on the bottom of the fuel tank with a rubber mallet while someone else is cranking the starter.
If you haven't found Ari's "no start checklist, do a search - this would be a good start. If you are sure that it's a fuel pump, it might be worth getting it towed home.
