1994 CS stereo install woes (wiring harnesses)

While installing a new Pioneer receiver last night, I noticed that the "car side" of the speaker wiring harness did not have the same number of wires as the plug from the receiver has. The car side of harness has 4 wires while the radio side has 8 wires (two wires for each of 4 speakers). I put it all together anyway and now have working front speakers but no rears. Where are the wires for rear speakers? What harness do I need? This has been one of the most difficult car stereo installs I've done in past 30 years. Thanks, Kevin
