My 1998 2.3 lpt auto is about to pass through this milestone milage. I've never owned a car of any make that has had that milage. However, the car has never run better. I've owned it for 8 years and put 85K miles on myself. In that time I've had to replace the DI, headlamp wiper motors, the right hand side dip headlamp bulb 4 times (no idea why just that one!), the washer bottle. I've had to repair the drivers heated seat 3 times (thanks for instructions) and I've had a Saab guru service it every 12,000 miles as per the manual. The head gasket has been weeping a bit for the last 50,000 miles but has shown no signs of deteriorating. I've replaced tyres, brake pads and discs and tail exhausts but that is all ware and tear and expected. I've seen from the BB that loads of you have 9K's with twice and even 3 times my milage. I'm really pleased with the car and have no plans to sell it, however, is anything 'expensive' likely to happen in the next 100,000 miles or problems lurcking just around the corner? I think the Saab BB is really excellent. For example, I thought my clock was making a noise like someone else did, and the answer pointed in the direction of the cabin temperature sensor fan, which needed a clean and now is quite as a church mouse. Without your help I'd have bought a new clock!! Thanks once again...
