Hey all,
Just finished pulling codes on Saab 92 9KT and also did a bit of research on here and got the usual suspects...vac leaks, BOV, etc. I'm hoping someone can help pinpoint the problem because of the way it manifests itself, particularly the starting issues.
my codes: 12223,12111, 12241,12112
these are all lean fuel mixture (and one faulty injector) codes so it is consistent with Vac leak. I've tried and tried to find vac leak problem to no avail. (I know check them again!) Things I have checked:
Charcoal canister, all vac lines, intake grommets/nipples, air intake piping, cleaned throttle body. I do notice one thing about butterfly though, it doesn't seem fully closed at all times...unless I pull it so, it's default is about 1-2mm open...can this be adjusted or is this normal?
My car has always started up with one turn of key, until recently that is, so my thinking is that this "issue" might be a sensor or something similar that relates to the start up. It will stall out several times before it finally stays running. Will have lumpy idle for a while even then but will eventually settle into the 850 rpm range though I have other problems manifesting themselves under load. Can anyone shed some light as to why this problem is greater at startup and the culprit? In the meantime I will be checking the archives some more.
tia.
