Weird TCS throttle behavior...pls help

The gas pedal on my '93 CDE turbo/auto/TCS seems to stop half way down and feels like it's pushing back, like I'm fighting with the drive-by-wire computer. If I blip the throttle quickly I can get past the stop point. There are no TCS, ABS or check engine lights on and the cruise control works fine. I've searched this BB but haven't found anything obvious. What can cause this?
Any help is greatly appreciated,
TIA
Garret A.
