quick parking lot fix for dangling muffler

I was wondering why my exhaust was sounding a little throatier...I kind of liked it though, and the car didn't seem to mind, so I let it go. Well, now I'm at work with a muffler that's hanging on by like one bolt. Fortunately I don't have a long drive home (2 miles in slow city traffic) so I don't need anything elaborate, but I'd like to make sure I don't drop the muffler because how embarassing would that be??
This isn't rocket science...just need to secure it to something. So my question is, is there anything I should be careful NOT to do when I head out to the parking lot this afternoon to get under the car with a bunch of wire?
