How old is your battery? Remember batteries are cheap - $50 at Costco. Next time it doesn't start, put your headlights on and see if they really, really dim. Look at it now, while the car is starting. If they do, your battery is not really charged, or it's bad. Also check your charging voltage when the system is fully loaded, AC, headlights, rear defroster. Should be at least 13 volts, at battery, with RPM at about 2000.
