IMO, having someone else do it ensures that you will have air in the system. I've bled 9000 clutches several times, and you truly have to keep the fluid reservoir topped up. Look at where the hose comes off the reservoir and how small the portion of the reservoir leading to that take-off is.
A power bleeder with 10 psi of pressure is all you need. I have never had to do reverse bleeding.
