1. Sounds like the auto is a given, considering your wife
2. Get the CSE, not the CS. Even with the upgraded ECU and BCV, the CSE seems faster than the CS. Can't explain it
3. There's nothing wrong with the automatic. I've taken 2 9000's to 225K with the original tranmissions, just change the fluid once in a while (every other oil change)
4. The auto will never be as much fun as your manual
5. The Aero has noticibly harder suspension. It will outhandle the CSE at the limit, but for normal diring on imperfect roads, the CSE is more comfortable.
6. A 9000 of any stripe is a 9000
7. With an automatic, the Aero has no more horsepower than the CSE.
By the way, my own personal favorite for mucle and balance was the 66 Mustang fastback with a small block. Drop the clutch and let the rear axle dance.
