I ruined my wiper motor! Get a new or find a used one? Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Wed, 19 Dec 2007 19:38:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I am an idiot! I never do this, but I must have bumped my wiper stalk to an on position last week when I parked. We then had a snow/ice storm. When I went to clean the car off, I started it with my remote and let it run while I scraped. Little did I know that my wipers were on and the ice was preventing them from moving until I cleared off the windshield!
Fast forward to today...it's raining, I turn on my wipers, and the motor is making a sweet groaning noise, and they're running slow! GRRRR!
Should I just pop in a used one, or go for a new one? Thesaabsite has them for $279, Eeuro doesn't show any. Never hear of them failing too often so think I'd be ok with a used one?
