Clunk in steering after being parked

I have a 98 with a weird problem. I haven't gotten under it to check it yet, but maybe someone has an idea. It drives great and tight. But, after it has been parked a while, or overnight, after you start it and first turn the wheel, there is a "clunk" or bump or something binding. It sounds like down near the steering gearbox.
