Saab 9000 Fan Thermo Switch Posted by Justin VanAbrahams [Email] (#32) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Justin VanAbrahams) on Mon, 30 Jun 2008 21:27:44 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have some questions about 9000 fan thermo switches, and figured someone here would know the answers:
1. Are 9000 fan thermo switches (in the radiator) the same dimensions as a c900 thermo switch? I seem to recall they are, but wanted to know for sure.
2. Are all 9000 fan thermo switches dimensionally the same - early 9000s vs. CS-style 9000s?
3. Anyone know the hottest temperature these go?
What I am looking to do is use the little T-shaped tube in a 900's upper radiator hose (for the A/C cutout) in my XR4Ti to control the fans. The 900's thermo switch is 170 or 182 degrees, which is too cold as my application is sensing temps BEFORE the radiator. I'm hoping one of the high-speed stages of the 9000's fan control will be hotter, and fit in the 900's fitting. It's not an ideal solution for me, but good enough for now.
Thanks!
