the plug ins to the rest of the car are Saab standard. There are two black plugs, one a male and one female, and *somewhere* on the boards are the pins outs to the signals. suggestion is to find another DIN box in a junkyard and but the wires off of *that* DIN box close to the box. this gives you a plugin, properly keyed and color coded, to what is in the car. then you can mate your new audio to this and get the front speakers done. The rears are a bit different, there is an amplifer for the rear speakers under the passengers seat, various ways of dealing with that.
Want to sell the stuff you took out of the dash?
If it's the Clarion with am/fm/cass in one box and EQ / single CD in the other... did you know you can drive a 6x cd changer and that your car is prewired for that? you can find the changer for about $100. go into the trunk and open up the LEFT side carpet and go to the back of the rear seat area, there will be a flat metal support, diagnonal run if I remember correctly, with a zip tie on it holding a round cable between the support and the body, it has a round DIN style connector, the other end is already to go, just need the CD605 or something like that to plug in and you are good to go... yes, no MP3 or IPOD (although there is a guy in classified that will mod your head unit to do the IPOD)... just a thought.
