Strut noises?? Posted by Kevin M [Email] (#1193) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Kevin M) on Sun, 17 Aug 2008 20:56:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Last month I posted a question about premature strut bearing click. Not clunks. This click occurs when turning hard right or left. With the car on the rack, the strut bearing(s) click when the strut rotates through the turn. (Manually grab the tire and move it right and left)
The click definitely comes from the bearing, but I was wondering if there is anything else in the cartridge structure that could cause the binding click as it rotates. The struts are high mileage Bogues. The dampening effect is still quite crisp, so they aren't shot.
Any shocking ideas? Oh, bad.
Thanks,
K
