I got into this and discovered that the hole thru the pivoting piece is bigger than the hole thru the door sheet metal. 1/4" bolt just fits snug thru from inside door, but the pivoting piece of metal swims around on it, its hole is so much bigger.

So I'll need to make up some kind of bushings to keep it snug. I'm thinking make up some little rings out of the grounding wire from some Romex 14-2 (house wiring) or some other solid copper wire, cut and bent to shape with needle nose pliers. They don't need to be a closed circle, just about 3/4 of the way around or more.

Or go to a larger diameter bolt and drill out the door to match it. But size-wise that'd be overkill.

Yaofeng, I just got my first digital camera, an older PowerShot Canon. I'm pretty good with a camera but a novice at posting stuff on here. I'll try but it may take me some time.
