First, turn the key to ON but don't try to start the car. Do you see dash warning lights? If you don't then the chances are good you've got a bad ignition switch. The same circuit that powers the dash warning lights also powers the ignition and fuel injection, and that goes through the ignition switch.
Next, put a voltmeter on the fuel pump fuse. You can do that with the fuse still in place. When cranking the engine, do you see 12 volts? If you do, it might be a bad fuel pump. If you don't see 12 volts, it might be a bad crank position sensor.
Crank the engine a bit, and then pull out a spark plug or two. Wet with gas? No gas, it's either the fuel pump or the signal to turn on the fuel pump (such as the CPS). Gas? Then it's probably the DI.
With the hood open, crank the engine, and listen carefully when you shut the car off. Do you hear a buzz from the DI just after the engine shuts off? If not, it might be a bad DI. The best test for a bad DI, other than swapping it for a known good one, is to pull it off and flip it over. Put in four spark plugs. Make sure the ground (body) of each spark plug is tied to ground with wire. Crank the engine. See sparks? No sparks is a bad DI.
That's a start (pun intended).
