swapping 1995 remote alarm into 1994 car? Posted by Henry Helfman [Email] (#787) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Henry Helfman) on Wed, 25 Mar 2009 05:11:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm stripping out my 1995 car for the last time and would like to attempt to swap the remote alarm into my 1994 car. The electrical schematic I have for a 1994 actually shows 1 lead that leaves the module just at the word "REMOTE CONTROL." Am I to assume that is just a single antenna wire that goes to the center rear-view mirror area?
Could that be the only difference in the 1995/1994 harness and it just be a matter of swapping in the alarm module? Or must the module be "married" to the car thereby tripping the security system; bricking the trionic andintroducing a whole new level of nightmare?
