I hesitated at first, but am glad I did (others have switched as well). To me, they make the car feel just right, especially with shifting and acceleration. The 50's lowered my Aero slightly and appear to make the front end level (as opposed to slightly raised). I wouldn't worry about bent rims unless I used a profile lower than 50. Someone mentioned 215-45-16 before, but personally, I wouldn't go that low. I drive a lot of miles and have no issues with comfort either. Just my 2 cents...
