I think I have seen that one or more people on this forum has his own ISAT tool. I would be willing to put down a deposit if anyone would loan me one. You can see that I have participated in this forum going back at least 5 years. Here's my history on my SRS/ABS issue:
I have checked the resistance of all 4 wheel sensors, and all are OK. I have cleaned off the sensors themselves as well as the teeth on the wheels on all 4 corners. I have also checked for continuity in the clockspring.
I have already had the experience of having been sold a crash sensor I didn't need for my '93 CDE that had the SRS light on. I went back to get it installed, and he couldn't find it, so he had to order it again. At that point I insisted that he reset the SRS light while I was there, and sure enough, the light has not come back on for 2 years. This was a different Indie.
The closest dealership tried the same thing the one time I went to them with a problem - they were trying to persuade me that I needed to replace parts that 5 years on are still working perfectly well. I haven't been back to them.
There are other Saab indies in San Diego, but of the three places I have take my Saabs, there isn't one I trust to be totally honest. But I'm stuck without the ISAT or Tech II.
