Something is actually wrong with the car. I want it to work stock before I start messing with it. I'm not wanting to replace the transistor to increase my boost limit, merely to replace the bad transistor. There is a step by step on a competing SAAB website CENTRAL(it won't let me type that together...) for identifying and replacing the bad transistor. I have a 5-speed with nearly 200k miles, turbo with 200k miles and a motor with 64k miles... I don't want to use a manual boost controller, primarily because of the lack of protection, also because boost control differences in each gear... 17 psi in 1st is a waste of tires, and without an lsd, won't help get around the cones any faster...lol! So the issue is most likely that a transistor is burned up in the ecu, not because I'm using a viggen solenoid... which was my question...
