ben, verrrry important to check/install a new bleeder valve.most hamhanded mech's use a long ext./socket to break the valve loose - thus bending it.they clog w/o the cover. the conical seat gets a score on the taper. i put a ate brake bleeder cap/rubber on the bleeder.use a 13mm wrench to break loose/tighten/turn the wrench upside down/i.e. offset of handle aimed to the ground.clutch hose should always be replaced. ate dot 4 racing blue brake fluid is the "only" stuff to use/slaves will fail prematurly w/other brands of fluid.purge the entire clutch/brake sys. of fluid at any clutch job. burt. oh by the way doing this iv'e never had a prob. w/a scan tech slave.
