The car didn't start for my wife yesterday and it conveniently chose to die in the driveway. PERFECT! I went home after work and eagerly grabbed the keys. I turned the key and all the standard dash lights came on....CHECK. Ignition switch OK. I turned the key and it cranked fine but wouldn't start. Hmmmm....DI or fuel pump.... The car had been sitting all day and the previous night. I opened the gas cap and instead of a little whoosh I got this long drawn out sucking sound for what seemed like a minute. Put the cap back on and it started right up. Venting is screwed up. After I told my wife about it she said it made the extended whoosh when the good samaritan went to add that 1/2 gallon of gas.
On to the fun part.....finding the problem.
Thanks for the tips guys. You guys ROCK!
