When all of the original symptoms appeared, I also noticed that the radio play was not affected and the ACC unit display was bright.
I could not immediately check the voltage readout on the EDU, but as soon as the display came back on, I checked it and it was 13.4 - 13.5V with the AC compressor on and 14.0 - 14.2V with the ACC in the Off position (compressor off). Driving in today, the voltage stayed steady within these ranges and no further signs of the problem. I have cleaned ground G8 under the dash, but the ECU Trionic ground G7 has thus far eluded me - i.e., I can't find where it is located on the engine from the top side. Also, the electrical wiring manual indicates that G7 may be split into two locations on the B234 engine. Any more suggestions along with the exact location(s) of G7 would be greatly appreciated.
