Boost leak possibility... Posted by JEMSaab [Email] (#1053) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JEMSaab) on Thu, 17 Sep 2009 12:44:42 In Reply to: Correction, sam96CS [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 17 Sep 2009 11:26:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just thought I'd throw this out there. I discovered a little while back that my intercooler pipe(from cooled side of intercooler to throttle
body) had a leak in the actual pipe. It was between where the pipe T's for the hooter valve and the main pipe itself. I found this b/c after a while a very small bit of oil(I'm assuming from the PCV crank case hose returning to the intake stream before turbo) would run down the pipe. I took the pipe out for a weekend and cleaned it up real well. Then I applied a nice even bead of JB weld around the area and let it dry real well. No more leak, has been over a month since repair. Hope this helps.
