Yes, it's mysterious to me that when I select ABS from the list of systems, I am not presented with a submenu as I was with the SRS. Instead it proceeds directly to reading the codes. Once the codes are read the only options are to scroll through them or bring up a screen that allows entering control codes. Probably there is a control code for clearing the codes, but I don't have key for the codes.
I have the feeling that the options are not the same depending on the particular ECU. Even with the SRS, there is a pause after it is selected while the ISAT connects to it before the diagnostic menu is displayed. If the ISAT can't contact it, as was the case when I started out, the diagnostic submenu is not displayed.
Now I'm wondering whether there might be a newer ABS computer (or FW version) that will give me more functionality through the ISAT. I may find out the answer if I can get with oldsaab and have him try again with his Tech II.
